About Interregional collegium of advocates "Mezhregion"
Interregional collegium of advocates (ICA) "Mezhregion" was created by decree of the Moscow government №850 from
15/10/1996. Certificate of registration at the Ministry of justice №012 from 06/11/1996. Charter of the Collegium was
approved by the Ministry of justice of the Russian Federation.
Basic activity status of ICA "Mezhregion" is rendering qualified legal help to citizens and legal entities at their
commercial relations and assistance in development and strengthening of the market economy.
The Collegium also provides legal defence on criminal cases, representation on civil, administrative and criminal cases as
well as other types of qualified legal help with a view to protect rights and interests of citizens, businessmen and legal
entities.
At the present the Collegium is an effectively operating structure uniting highly skilled specialists, professionals in
their field.
Along with rendering qualified legal help members of the Collegium take participation in draft legislation work and
scientific research.
Today 190 advocates are the members of the Collegium, total size of the staff reaches 300 people.
The Collegium includes 17 legal advice bureaus: 8 in Moscow city, 2 in Moscow region, 7 in other subjects of the Russian
Federation.
General meeting of members is the supreme organ of the ICA "Mezhregion". It is convoked by the Presidium of the Collegium
as may be necessary, but not less than once a year.
Highest executive and administrative organ between general meetings is the Presidium, which is in session every last
Wednesday of month. Members of the Presidium are: chairman Sergey S. Juriev, Vasiliy J. Aksenov, Igor B. Vlasenko, Jury P.
Gervis, Alexander P. Zamota, Vladimir V. Katalikov, Gasan B. Mirzoev.
Presidium of the Collegium solves questions, connected with enrollment and expulsion of members; makes decisions on
creation of new legal advice bureaus; coordinates activity of legal advice bureaus; considers complaints ant other
materials about actions of the advocates; carries out other activities in accordance with the legislation of the Russian
Federation and the charter of ICA "Mezhregion".
